Student Representative Council (SRC)

The Student Representative Council (SRC) at Kurnai College comprises students elected by their peers to represent student voice across all campuses. The SRC is committed to enhancing the school experience for all students while developing leadership, confidence and active citizenship.

Each year, students nominate themselves and are elected to the SRC, giving them opportunities to advocate for student needs, contribute ideas, and actively shape a positive school culture. SRC members help plan, organise and lead a range of events and initiatives that support student wellbeing, connection, and engagement.

The SRC promotes student involvement in social, cultural, and community activities and works closely with staff to support the wide range of lunchtime and after-school programs offered at Kurnai College. These activities encourage participation, foster friendships and allow students to explore new interests.

By representing their peers, SRC members provide valuable feedback on academic and extracurricular matters, ensuring students have a meaningful voice in decision-making. The SRC plays a vital role in building an inclusive, respectful and dynamic school community where every student is heard.
