Sporting Program
Sport plays an important role at our College, supporting student wellbeing, teamwork, leadership and school pride. Our comprehensive sporting program provides students with opportunities to participate, compete and excel at a variety of levels — from friendly competition through to regional and state representation.
Through sport, students develop resilience, confidence and sportsmanship while building strong connections within our school community.
Swimming Trials
Students with a passion for swimming are invited to participate in our optional College Swimming Trials. These trials are designed for students interested in advancing to regional competition.
Time trials are held at the Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre, where students can qualify for the Wellington Region Swimming Championships.
Students who achieve qualifying times are selected to represent the College at the Wellington Swimming event. Successful competitors may then progress further along the interschool pathway, proudly representing the College at higher levels of competition.
The Swimming Trials provide students with an opportunity to challenge themselves, demonstrate commitment and strive for personal excellence in a supportive and competitive environment.
Athletics Carnival
A highlight of the school year is our annual Inter-house Athletics Carnival, which brings students together in a celebration of athleticism, participation and school spirit. Students compete in track and field and novelty events while representing their house team.
Our four house teams are:

The carnival encourages friendly rivalry, inclusivity and teamwork, with students earning points for participation, effort and achievement. It is a vibrant event that strengthens connections across campuses and fosters a strong sense of belonging and pride within our College community.
Interschool Sport
Students are encouraged to represent the College in interschool sport competitions across a wide range of sports. These pathways allow students to progress from local and regional events through to state-level competitions, recognising both participation and high performance.
Participation in interschool sport promotes teamwork, discipline and pride, with students representing the College with integrity and respect.
